Su nombre original fue Concetta Rosa María Franconero. Nació el 12/12/1938 en New Jersey, USA. Fue bautizada artísticamente como Connie Francis a muy corta edad. Obtiene su primer contrato discográfico a los 16 años de edad.

Aunque al momento de su aparición (1962), este tema perteneciente a su álbum, Connie Francis Sings Second Hand Love & Other Hits, no tuvo el impacto de sus otros trabajos, sí que lo tuvo en 2025 mediante un "trend" viral de la plataforma Tik Tok. Ha sido versionado en varios idiomas incluído el español.

Connie Francis falleció el 16 de julio de 2025 a la edad de 87 años.
