Tom Yorke, vocalista del grupo, aprendió a tocar la guitarra acústica a los 8 años. El nombre del grupo, proviene de una canción de la banda Talking Heads. El primer álbum de Radiohead "Pablo Honey", fue uno de los más vendidos de 1993. En 1998, su álbum "Ok Computer", les hace acreedor de un premio GRAMMY.
