El escocés radicado en AUSTRALIA, JOHN PAUL YOUNG, fue contratado en sus inicios por SIMON NAPIER-BELL, famoso productor que trabajó con artistas como MARC BOLAN de T. REX, el grupo ASIA, ULTRAVOX, BONEY M y el dúo WHAM!. En 1978 JOHN PAUL YOUNG, compone el que sería su único mayor éxito titulado "Love Is In The Air", tema que llegó al #1 en las listas de USA y que ha sido versionado por innumerables artistas y que también ha formado parte de la música de algunas series y anuncios de tv.
