2.- Lyrics

There lived a certain man

in Russia long ago

He was big and strong,

in his eyes a flaming glow

Most people looked at him

with terror and with fear

But to Moscow chicks

he was such a lovely dear

He could preach the Bible

like a preacher

Full of ecstasy and fire

But he also was

the kind of teacher

Women would desire

(Chorus)

Ra-ra-Rasputin

Lover of the Russian queen

There was a cat that

really was gone

Ra-ra-Rasputin

Russia's greatest love machine

It was a shame

how he carried on

He ruled the Russian land

and never mind the Czar

But the kazachok he danced

really wunderbar

In all affairs of state

he was the man to please

But he was real great

when he had a girl to squeeze

For the queen

he was no wheeler dealer

Though she'd heard

the things he'd done

She believed

he was a holy healer

Who would heal her son

(Repeat Chorus)

But when his drinking and lusting

And his hunger for power

Became known to more and more people

The demands to do something

About this outrageous man

Became louder and louder

"This man's just got to go",

declared his enemies

But the ladies begged,

"Don't you try to do it, please"

No doubt this Rasputin had

lots of hidden charms

Though he was a brute,

they just fell into his arms

Then one night some men of higher standing

Set a trap, they're not to blame

"Come to visit us", they kept demanding

And he really came

Ra-ra Rasputin

Lover of the Russian queen

They put some poison into his wine

Ra-ra Rasputin

Russia's greatest love machine

He drank it all and said, "I feel fine"

Ra-ra-Rasputin

Lover of the Russian queen

They didn't quit, they wanted his head

Ra-ra-Rasputin

Russia's greatest love machine

And so they shot him 'til he was dead

Oh, those Russians

SEXIEST LANGUAGE

2.- Uso de Pronombres He, She, His, Her, Him, Hers

- Every student must show their ID before entering the examination room.

(En lugar de his/her.)

- A nurse has to be nice. They must connect with their patients.

(En lugar de she/her o he/his.)

3.- Sufijos -man, -master. -woman, -ess

- Fireman (-man) / Fire-fighter (Neutro)

- Headmaster (-master), Headmistress (-mistress) / Head (Neutro)

- Actor / Actress (-or, -ess) / Actor (Neutro)

- Human beings first emerged in Africa.

- Human beings / Mankind has always dreamt of happiness.

FORMAL AND INFORMAL LANGUAGE

- He has decided to quit the job. (Formal)

- He's decided to quit the job. (Informal)

- The man whom I met in Germany was interested in working with us. (Formal)

- The man I met in Germany was interested in working with us. (Informal)

3.- Ellipsis

- We went to Australia for the weekend. (Formal)

- Went to Australia for the weekend. (Informal)

4.- Long vs. Short Words

- Can (Formal / Informal)

- May (Formal)

- Might (More Formal)

A)

a) Spicy Potatoes

b) "Bravas" Potatoes (Spicy potatoes)

Ejemplo:

- Three Delicious Fried Rice

C)

Un restaurante francés.

Entre las curiosas traducciones podemos leer "Bravas, Fried Potatoes In Two Spicy Sauce".

Y al final leemos "And minimum for two people", el cual debería ser "And for two people minimum".

SUJETO + HAVE / HAS + PAST PARTICIPLE (Irregular Verbs) / "_ed" (Regular Verbs) + Complemento

http://inglespedia.blogspot.com.es/2016/07/tmb-ingles-usa-en-europa.html

a) Inglés Británico

The man replies, "Oh no! If that's the good news, then what's the bad news?"

The doctor says, "The bad news is, I forgot to call you yesterday."

d) A man inserted an ad in the classifieds: "Wife wanted."

The next day he received a hundred letters. They all said the same thing: "You can have mine."

e) Some silly questions

1.- Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns, because they taste funny?

2.- Does killing time damage eternity?

3.- Why is it that night falls but day breaks?

4.- If you can't drink and drive, why do bars have parking lots?
