2.- Listen to
- Listen to me, please.
- John is listening to the radio.
2.1.- Palabras y expresiones
- Have a listen = Escuchar

- Did you hear that interview?
- Did you listen to that interview?
A diferencia de "Listen to", "Hear" no suele ir acabado en "_ing".
- I love listening to Pop music.
- I love hearing Pop music.
- Dan listens to the radio every morning.
- Matt listened carefully to what the doctor said.
- When teachers speak, students listen.
- Guys, listen!
5.- Recomendaciones
- Evitar el uso de traductores en internet.
- Utilizar algunas frases guía como: "I love listening to the radio." y "Have you heard the news?".
- Recordar sus formas pasadas, "Listened to" y "Heard".
- Five million people watched this film. (Active)
- This film was watched by 5 million people. (Passive)
2.- Forma
a) Present Simple
Am, Is, Are + Verbo Principal
- It is made in China.
b) Present Continuous
Verbo To Be + being + Verbo Principal
- Smile, you are being recorded.
c) Past Simple
Was, Were + Verbo Principal
- The book was written in English.
d) Past Continuous
Was, Were + being + Verbo Principal
- Was it being tested?
e) Present Perfect Simple
Have, Has + been + Verbo Principal
- Nobody has been hurt.
f) Past Perfect Simple
Had + been + Verbo Principal
- Had Mark been injured in the war?
g) Modal Simple
Can, Will, Might + be + Verbo Principal
- It can be delivered.
h) Modal Continuous
Could, May, Must + be being + Verbo Principal
- My car may be being repaired.
i) Modal Perfect Simple
Could, Must + have been + Verbo Principal
- This song must have been written when the artist lived here.
3.- Passives with agent
- Harry Potter was written by J. K. Rowling.
4.- Passives without agent
- My car is being repaired.
5.- Get
Get + Verbo Principal
- John got promoted.
- Jane is getting her hair coloured.
6.- Recomendaciones
DIRECT INDIRECT/REPORTED
- Present Simple - Past Simple
- Present Continuous - Past Continuous
- Present Perfect Simple - Past Perfect Simple
- Present Perfect Continuous - Past Perfect Continuous
- Past Simple - Past Perfect Simple
- Past Continuous - Past Perfect Continuous
- Future Will - Would
- Past Perfect Simple - Past Perfect Simple
3.- Ejemplos
- John : I work in an office. (Present Simple)
John said that he worked in an office. (Past Simple)
- John : I'm working in an office. (Present Continuous)
John said that he was working in an office. (Past Continuous)
- John : I have worked in an office. (Present Perfect Simple)
John said that he had worked in an office. (Past Perfect Simple)
- John : I will work in an office. (Future Will)
John said that he would work in an office. (Would)
- John : I had worked in an office. (Past Perfect Simple)
John said that he had worked in an office. (Past Perfect Simple)
4.- If
En preguntas con verbos auxiliares (Yes/No Questions), se utiliza "If" o "Whether", aunque la primera es más común.
Ejemplos :
- Are you at home?
He asked me if I was at home.
- Did you arrive yesterday?
She asked me if I had arrived yesterday.
DIRECT INDIRECT
- Can Could
- May Might (Posibilidad) / Could (Permiso)
- Shall Would
- Must Must / Had to (Obligación)
NOTA.- "Could", "Should", "Would", "Might" y "Need", NO cambian desde el directo al indirecto.
- "My brother works for a big company".
He told me that his brother works for a big company. (Hecho real o verdadero.)
- "I'm getting married next month". (Aún no ha sucedido.)
She told me that she's getting married next month.
b) Cuando se trata de órdenes.
- Teacher : Sit down!
The teacher told us to sit down.
- Sign : "Not enter".
The sign warned us not to enter.
6.- Adverbs, Demonstratives and Adverbial Expressions
1.- Medios De Transporte
a)
Ejemplos:
- Keep off the grass = No pisar el cesped
- Keep out! = Aléjese
b)
"In an emergency, press the button to ensure the events are recorded"
"The events are recorded" = Los eventos están grabados (Pasado Simple).
"The events are being recorded" = Los eventos están siendo grabados. (Presente continuo)
c)
Recordemos:
- January 8th, 2018 = USA (Mes/Día/año)
- 8th, January 2018 = UK (Día/Mes/Año)
2.- Hoteles
a)
- "We communicate to you"
Ejemplo:
- I must communicate this situation to the boss.
Por ello, este cartel debería empezar con:
"We inform you"
Ha sido traducida;
- "Use energy wisely, doesn't waste it".
- "Don't waste it".
3.- Panaderías
a)
- Big sandwich or vegetable
Esto se traduce por:
- Bocadillo grande o verdura.
- Big sandwich or vegetarian / vegan sandwich.
b)
- Chiken = Chicken = Pollo
4.- Museos
a)
5.- Varios
a)
b)
Este no es un error del todo. Se trata de una omisión. La frase correcta es:
- Even the devil was once an angel.
Freddie Mercury was born in Zanzibar, Tanzania in 1945. He was the lead vocalist in the british band, Queen. He co-wrote many of Queen's hits. But he did some more as a soloist, too. One of them was "Barcelona". His partner in this song was the spanish operatic-singer, Montserrat Caballé. She was born on 12th, April 1933. In 1968, she won a Grammy Award for Best Classical Solo Vocal Performance. The song "Barcelona" reached the 8th position in 1987 and the 2nd in 1992, both in the UK charts.
2.- LYRICS
I had this perfect dream
Un sueño me envolvió
This dream was me and you
Tal vez esta aquí
I want all the world to see
Un instinto me guiaba
A miracle sensation
My guide and inspiration
Now my dream is slowly coming true
The wind is a gentle breeze
ÉI me habló de ti
The bells are ringing out
EI canto vuela
They're calling us together
Guiding us forever
Wish my dream would never go away
Barcelona
It was the first time that we met
Barcelona
How can I forget?
The moment that you stepped into the room
You took my breath away
Barcelona
La música vibró
Barcelona
Y ella nos unió
And if God is willing
We will meet again
Someday
Let the songs begin
Déjalo nacer
Let the music play
Make the voices sing
Nace un gran amor
Start the celebration
Ven a mi
And cry!
Grita!
Come alive!
Vive!
And shake the foundations from the skies
Shaking all our lives
Barcelona
Such a beautiful horizon
Barcelona
Like a jewel in the sun
Barcelona
Suenan las campanas
Barcelona puertas al mundo
If God is willing
If God is willing
If God is willing
Friends until the end
Viva!
Barcelona!
