Chrissie Hynde es una guitarrista y compositora norteamericana, más famosa por ser la voz principal del grupo The Pretenders. Este grupo formado en 1978, cuenta con varios éxitos a lo largo de la década de los 80's. "Brass In Pocket", "Back On The Chain Gang", "Middle Of The Road", "Don't Get Me Wrong" y "I'll Stand By You", son sólo algunos de ellos. A mediados de los 80's, Hynde graba "I Got You Babe" (una versión de un clásico de Sonny and Cher de 1965), junto al grupo de REGGAE, UB40.
