2.- Lyrics

Billy left his home
with a dollar in his pocket
and a head
full of dreams

He said
"Somehow, someway
It's gotta get
better than this".

Patti packed her bags
left a note
for her mamma
she was just 17

There were tears
in her eyes
when she kissed
her litte sister goodbye

They held
each other tight
as they drove on
through the night
they were so excited

We got but one
shot at life
Let's take it
while we're still not afraid
because life is so brief
and time is a thief
when you're undecided
and like a fistful of sand
it can slip right
through your hands

a) Young hearts
be free tonight
time is on your side
Don't let them
put you down
Don't let them
push you around
Don't let them
ever change
your point of view

Paradise was closed
so they headed
for the coast
in a blissful manner
They took
a two room apartment
that was jumping
every night of the week

Happiness was found
in each other's arms
as expected
Billy pierced his ears
drove a pickup
like a lunatic

(Repeat a)

Billy wrote a letter
back home
to Patti's parents
trying to explain

He said
"we're both real sorry
that it had to turn out
this way

But there ain't
no point in talking
when there's
nobody listening
so, we just ran away
Patti gave birth
to a ten pound
baby boy".

Young hearts
be free tonight
time is on your side ....

WH - QUESTIONS

Las WH-QUESTIONS se utilizan para pedir algún tipo de información, según la palabra que se utilice. Por ejemplo:
1:- What is your name? ¿Cuál es tu/su nombre?
(uát is iór néim?)
2.- Where do you live? ¿Dónde vive(s)?
((j)uér du iú lif)
3.- How old are you? ¿Qué edad tiene(s)?
(jáu old ar iú?)
4.- Who is that girl? ¿Quién es esa chica?
(jú is dat guerl?)
5.- When is your birthday? ¿Cuando es su/tu cumpleaños?
((j)uén is iór bérzdey)

Observemos otros ejemplos :

RICHARD SMITH is nineteen. He is one and sixty eight metres tall, and weighs seventy two kilos. (RICHARD ESMÍT is naintín. ji is uán and síksti eit míters tol, and uéigs seventy tú kilos)

En este ejemplo apreciamos la forma de informar acerca de nuestra edad, talla y peso.
Las preguntas para pedir este tipo de información son :

a) How old are you? ¿Qué edad tiene/tienes usted/tú?
b) How tall are you? ¿Cuánto mide(s) usted/tú?
c) How much do you weigh? ¿Cuánto pesa(s) usted/tú?

HAVE YOU GOT.......?
Esta es la forma británica para preguntar por la tenencia de algo. Ejemplo :

a) Have you got any children? ¿Tiene usted niños?
jaf iu got éni childrén?

b) Have you got a good memory? ¿Tiene buena memoria?
jaf iu got a gut mémori?

HOW MUCH / HOW MANY
Ambos se utilizan para preguntar "cuánto", pero :

a) HOW MUCH : se usa para preguntar por lo "incontable". Ejemplo:

How much cheese is there in the fridge? ¿Cuánto queso hay en la nevera?
jáo mach chís is der in de fritch?

How much money have you got? ¿Cuánto dinero tiene?
jáo mach máni haf iu got?

b) HOW MANY : se utiliza para preguntar por lo "contable". Ejemplo:

How many brothers and sisters have you got? ¿Cuántos hermanos y hermanas tiene?
jáo méni bráders and sísters jaf iu got?

How many languages do you speak?
