MUFFINS - RECIPE



Al empezar un nuevo año, además de los buenos propósitos, muchas personas se atreven con nuevos retos y desafíos.
Por ello, nosotros iniciamos el año retando a nuestro público a cocinar.
Se trata de una sencilla receta para hacer Muffins (también conocidas como Magdalenas en España).


1.- Ingredients (12 muffins)


2 cups flour

1/4 cup sugar

3 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 egg


2.- Utensils


1 small bowl

1 medium bowl

1 spoon

1 toothpick

a 12 muffin pan

1 oven


3.- Preparation


Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

In a medium bowl add...

2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Whisk well together. Set aside.

In small bowl add...

1 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg

Whisk well together. 

With a spoon make a well in the middle of the dry mixture. Slowly add milk, oil and egg to flour mixture. Mix batter until moist. Do not over mix batter.

Grease 12 muffin pan. Fill each muffin pan 2/3 full of muffin batter.

Bake for 15-20 minutes. Check with a toothpick.

- flour = harina

- baking powder = polvo de hornear

- toothpick = mondadientes, palillo de dientes.

- oven = horno

- preheat = precalentar

- whisk = batir

- (to) set aside = poner a un lado, reservar.

- well = pozo

- batter = masa

- moist = húmedo

- grease = engrasar

- bake = hornear


5.- Variations

If you want, you can add 2/3 cups of chocolate chips to dry ingredients, to make chocolate muffins.
